Premium Mental Health Counseling
My goal is to help you start living your best life now.
This looks different for everyone. I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. These may affect both your personal and professional life. I also provide care for those experiencing life changes and transitions. I assist people in improving and building back self-confidence and self-esteem. I support people who have experienced traumatic childhood experiences or abuse. I partner with you to create a plan to reduce suffering and restore life balance and harmony. I meet you where you are in life and help you become the best version of yourself. Trauma, in particular, impacts many important aspects of our lives and sometimes leads to a sense of feeling “broken.”
I will ask in-depth questions to understand you better and, at times, may assign homework. Though addressing mental health issues and trauma from childhood or beyond can be a difficult process, my clients notice that healing often leads to feeling more self-confident and unstuck. This, in turn, helps them to better manage relationships, stressors, and symptoms of depression or anxiety.
I offer an empathic, gentle approach and will also challenge you and point out possible blind spots, which we all have! I look forward to being a part of your mental health journey.

My core values shape my approach to care.
As long as I can remember, I’ve always had an intense desire to connect with people experiencing distress or suffering. This partly stems from personal experiences of adversity and learning how to navigate life’s complexities. I was intuitively drawn toward the helping professions and pursuing a career in clinical psychology. I developed an ability to identify the core issues, and I am practical in how to facilitate effective change. Witnessing change, growth, and healing inspires me every day. I recognize the complexity of holding a minority status and embrace working with people of all identities and backgrounds.
I believe we are all doing the best we can, at any given moment, with what we have and what we know. Our daily lives are filled with superficial soundbites and emphasis on instant gratification. However, in reality, meaningful and lasting change is rarely instantaneous.
I view therapy as a kind of “lab” to explore the mind, understand emotions, and clarify values; I believe that constructive dialogue about difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences is vital to facilitating change, healing, and recovery. This may be challenging when we are taught to ignore our feelings and strive to always be “happy.”
What we resist, persists; from my perspective, the more we try to “forget about the past” and move forward without true healing, the harder time we will have. I believe taking time to process issues that haven’t been examined will empower you to live well.
